CEC welcomes the Lord Mayor of Cork to the school

Cork English College welcomed the Lord Mayor of Cork, Deirdre Forde to the school for a very special visit. Corks "First Citizen" met with CEC students and staff during their International Food & Culture Day.

Lord Mayor Forde spoke with students from Germany, Taiwan, Mexico, Spain, Italy, Korea & France and also sample some local cuisine from each country.

Speaking about the visit Marc from CEC had this to say, "It was a real honor to welcome the Lord Mayor to Cork English College on what is our 45th anniversary year. She was very excited to meet and speak with students from so many different parts of the world, particularly our Korean students as she travels there next week. From the student's perspective, they were thrilled to meet our "Ardmheara" and to receive a word of thanks from her for choosing Cork as a city to live, socialise & study in."
