CEC welcoming friends from Munster Rugby & the United Rugby Championship trophy to the school

Cork English College recently welcomed their friends from Munster Rugby & the United Rugby Championship trophy to the school. Munster are the current reigning URC champions and proud partners of CEC on their English + Rugby Programme.
Students, staff & the QE penguins had the opportunity to pose for photos with the 68cm, 20 kg silver-plated trophy as it toured the province visiting schools & partners.

Speaking on the visit Marc Cullen, MD of Cork English College had this to say: “It was a real honour to have the URC trophy in the school today, for many years we’ve had a great friendship & partnership with Munster Rugby, so it’s brilliant to share their success with both students & staff. Our July English + Rugby Programme is one of our most popular junior options, and it’s great to see rugby growing as a sport following the Rugby World Cup & Irelands success in the 6 Nations.”

Places are still available for individual students on Cork English Colleges Summer 2024 English + Rugby Programme with Munster Programme. Running from June 20th to July 13th and July 14th to July 28th, the programme is open to rugby fans from around the world in CEC’s residential centre.
