ECS Scotland was supposed to be celebrating its 25th anniversary this summer, instead we are just happy to be re-opening on Monday 3rd August.
The family have worked hard to ensure the school is safe and secure for teachers and clients to return to. Covid-19 risk assessments have been done and strict hygiene and social distancing procedures are in place.
In light of the pandemic, we have taken the opportunity to restructure our courses and to focus even more on tailoring our courses to each and every client.
Building on our past strength of high quality and relevant English language training for professional adults, courses will concentrate on specialised one-to-one classes and small group courses focussing on communicating successfully across cultures.
Our new English for Effective Communication group course, with a maximum of 5 students per class, is a speaking and listening course for those wanting to improve their spoken fluency and active listening skills. The course covers a range of everyday and work scenarios, whether working virtually or face-to-face. Its multi-level composition reflects the real world situation of the use of English as a lingua franca and the course raises awareness of how to interact in culturally diverse groups.
Our highly experienced and qualified teachers are back ready to teach a range of 1-1 specialist courses. Legal English and TOLES Preparation and Medical English and OET preparation will also feature strongly in our offer of professional courses. Our new timetable will allow for early morning and evening classes for work and business clients, as well as courses on Saturdays.
While our 25-year milestone has not turned out as expected, we look forward to raising a toast to ECS Scotland by the end of the year.
