The International Travel College of New Zealand is once again celebrating a special achievement by one of their students - Chiyori Yasu, an international student from Japan. Chiyori was recently awarded the IATA Foundation Diploma, along with a special letter to say she achieved the highest marks for the exam throughout New Zealand. This made for a very special day for Chiyori, as it was also her birthday when she got the letter, so she had lots of reasons to celebrate!
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Foundation Diploma is a highly sought-after qualification in the airline & travel industry that trains students in airfares and ticketing. Students sit a 3-hour exam and their certificates are sent all the way from the IATA head quarters in Montreal, Canada. ITC has been teaching the IATA qualification for over 15 years and is very proud of the quality of the program and it’s teaching staff.
“Our tutors are all from the travel and tourism industry, are passionate about teaching and know the IATA program thoroughly. We have excellent outcomes from our students taking the exam, and we are especially proud of Chiyori!” Lesley Brough, International Marketing Manager at ITC.
ITC offers the IATA qualification as a standalone, 7-week program, or as part of their 2-year Diploma in International Tourism & Travel Management program (which is what Chiyori is studying).
