As we celebrate 18 years of Languages United, we’re also taking a moment to recognize some of the incredible people who have contributed so much to our students' experience. This year, we are especially proud to celebrate our dear homestay host, Margaret, who is turning 90!
Margaret, a delightful retired teacher with a wealth of life and teaching experience, has been a cherished part of our homestay family for years. She always has fascinating stories to share with our students and loves spending time chatting with them, helping them improve their English in a warm, welcoming environment.
Beyond her incredible hospitality, Margaret is an avid concert-goer, a lover of music, and a keen artist who enjoys visiting galleries, painting, and drawing. She's also a talented photographer with a deep appreciation for art and design. In her home, our students learn much more than just language; they gain an understanding of British traditions, from etiquette to the art of setting a proper table with care and respect for every guest. Margaret even teaches the essence of British gardening!
The feedback we receive from students who stay with Margaret is filled with endless praise for this extraordinary person. Her contribution to our immersive English language learning experiences is immeasurable, and we’re so grateful for her dedication over the years.
As we celebrate our 18th birthday, we also want to recognize the invaluable role that Margaret and our homestays play in shaping our students' experience. Thank you, Margaret, for everything you do, and happy 90th birthday!
