The Taunton School Somerset school has been shortlisted for four awards including Pre-Prep, Prep School, Boarding and British International School.
The Independent School of the Year Awards recognise schools who provide the most exceptional student experience with the judges looking at the breadth and diversity of school life. This year a record number of schools from across the country entered nominations.
Lee Glaser, Headmaster of Taunton School, says: “We are thrilled that we have been shortlisted in four categories of these awards. In an academic year like no other, it is a tremendous achievement and recognises the hard work and dedication of the whole team at Taunton School.”
Lee added: “We were determined in September to provide as close to a normal Taunton School experience as possible but within the spirit and letter of the guidance. As this recognition attests, we have been successful in that mission.”
Dr Helen Wright, Chair of the judging panel, says: “The UK’s independent schools are vibrant exciting places which, as the past year has demonstrated, are constantly evolving to respond to the needs of their individual students. These highly-regarded awards recognise and celebrate the amazing experiences and opportunities for students in independent schools across the UK and British schools overseas. “
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in October.
