At Languages United, students rose to the occasion with a ‘Bake Off’ style fundraiser. The school knows that getting students to use their English outside of the classroom is the best way to reinforce their lessons and build confidence, so the school's students have been taking part in a Bake-Off competition. They baked delicious cakes with their hosts, a great exercise to communicate and follow instructions in English. The students sold their cakes to staff and other students - learning to express themselves and also negotiate in English.
Students wore pink in aid of Breast Cancer Now’s “Wear It Pink Day”. The fundraising carried on into the evening where the students took part in a karaoke fundraiser. Overall, the school's students raised a total of £363.
