Investing in Renewable Energy with BWCE

This year marked a significant step forward in their sustainability journey as they partnered with Bath & West Community Energy (BWCE). BWCE is a community business, committed to putting people at the heart of the energy transition to zero carbon. Their work ranges from installing rooftop solar panels on community buildings to developing solar farms that generate clean energy for local schools and facilities.

Their collaboration with BWCE embodies their commitment to not just reduce our carbon footprint but also support our community in Bath through sustainable practices. By investing in BWCE, we're contributing to the growth of renewable energy sources in our region, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future.

Empowering our hosts: "Reducing Your Energy Bills" Presentation

Understanding the importance of energy conservation, they took an innovative step to assist their homestay hosts. Many of their international students find a home away from home with local families in Bath. These homestays are an integral part of the educational journey, offering students a warm and immersive cultural experience. Recognizing the dual benefit of reducing energy consumption — lowering carbon emissions and saving on costs — they organised a presentation titled "Reducing Your Energy Bills."

This presentation, delivered by BWCE, was tailored to provide practical advice and insights on how to decrease household energy consumption effectively. The session covered a range of topics, from simple energy-saving tips to more significant changes hosts can make to reduce their environmental impact and energy bills.
