The International Travel College of New Zealand has (once again) generously donated to several charities at the end of 2019. For many people, Christmas is a wonderful time of year – a time of family, friends, food, and celebration. But, for many others, Christmas can be a challenging time. At Christmas – more than ever – it’s important to give back to the community and help those in need.
ITC chief executive Claire Huxley kindly donated to the seven charities below with a total donation amount of $4,250:
• Auckland City Mission
• Christmas Box
• The Salvation Army
• Age Concern
• Variety Children
• SPCA
• Alzheimer’s New Zealand
A representative from The Salvation Army reached out to Claire and ITC to say thank you for the donation. “Thank you so much for your very kind and generous donation to our Christmas Appeal this week. Your generosity to The Salvation Army has been so gratefully received. It is very much appreciated and contributes significantly to our work of helping people in need, especially at this time of year.”
Lesley Brough (International Marketing Manager at ITC) said “All of the ITC staff feel really proud to work for an organisation that repeatedly gives back to the community financially in many ways throughout the year! All the staff and students to get involved with different initiatives, but this big, end of year donation is due to the generosity of our Director – Claire Huxley, which we all applaud her for.”
