VGC International College is pleased to announce its designation as a Recognized Organization (RO) within the Canadian Federal Government’s International Experience Canada (IEC) program. This designation provides VGC the privilege of nominating foreign youths for a ‘working holiday’ visa that allows them to work and stay in Canada for a period of up to two years.
The RO accreditation positions VGC as one of only seven educational institutions across Canada – and the only Canadian QE school – authorized to offer work and travel opportunities to eligible individuals participating in the IEC program. Under this arrangement, eligible participants are required to enroll in a language program offered by VGC’s School of English Language to enhance their English proficiency, and then gain valuable international experience by working for any employer in Canada.
The IEC program is a federal government initiative aimed at promoting cultural exchange between Canada and partner countries. Citizens of partner countries, such Austria, the Czech Republic, Italy, Spain, Switzerland and other EU countries, can leverage ROs like VGC to facilitate their application for a place in the IEC program. Students from non-partner countries must work with an RO when joining the IEC program.
