Worldwide School of English strives to provide the best learning experiences that cater to students’ needs.
For most, improving in English is not the only reason for enrolling in an English course; learning about the local culture, meeting people from different countries, acquiring new skills and gaining work experience are all essential components of their learning journey.
From 2022, for every 12 weeks of enrolment in their English courses, students will be eligible to join one of the school's skills-based short courses for free. The duration of these short courses range from a few days to a week. They are designed to teach students specific skills that will help them to find suitable work opportunities. Depending on their interests and personalities, students can choose from barista, mocktail / cocktail making, short film making & editing and information technology.
Albeit short, these courses are value-added components that will broaden students’ horizons. It provides a platform for them to practise their English in a different setting, learn new knowledge and skills that will help them to settle in a new country and shed light on pathways that may be beneficial to their career development.
Worldwide School of English has piloted with barista short courses earlier and are really excited about these offerings moving forward.
