The magnificent castle of a well-established private boarding school Schloss Hessen (in the town of Hamm, North Rhine-Westhpalia not far from Cologne, Dusseldorf and Bonn) will be the new home of Academic Camp who is launching a new destination in Germany in summer 2021.
From 10th July for two or four weeks students aged 11-17 will have a great chance to spend a fantastic summer getting to know the charming beauties of Germany’s top sites, enjoy the buzz of colourful activities, academic learning, sports and certified leadership programme.
Academic programme in English and/or German
True to Academic Camp philosophy students will be inspired by studying academic subjects in English (art, economics, English, mathematics, presentations, science, social studies, theory of knowledge and world literature) and/or in German (German linguistics: study of German language, essay writing and presentations, STEM: science, technology, engineering and mathematics and Landeskunde: German culture & social studies, history & economics). Students will choose the language of their studies (languages can be combined) and students aged 15+ students will also be able to choose their subjects.
This programme is excellent for students who are considering studying in Germany or wish to stay in the EU this summer. For students interested in studying at German universities there will be opportunities during the course to find out more.
The engaging and discovery based academic programme combined with exciting leisure activities is the perfect combination for students to relax, make friends and enjoy their summer fully.
Airport transfers from Dusseldorf airport (just over 1 hour from the school) and Frankfurt airport (just over 3 hour from the school) are included in the fees.
