The Lewis School of English is excited to announce that its Winchester Junior Centre is now available all year round for residential group courses.
Based at the University of Winchester, the centre has been open for junior summer programmes for the last two years, running alongside Lewis’s long-established main school in nearby Southampton. The new Winchester centre has proved very popular - students have greatly enjoyed the excellent facilities on campus and the beauty and history of this incredible city – so Lewis School is naturally delighted to offer it outside the summer too.
Historic Winchester (population: 50,000) was England’s capital city before London. Today, it is visited by 4 million people every year and it’s easy to see why. From its impressive cathedral to its beautiful riverside to the iconic Round Table connected to the legend of King Arthur, you’ll find something charming around every corner. Indeed, in 2016, The Times newspaper ranked it as the best place to live in the UK. The city centre is just a 15-minute walk from the campus, and another great benefit is that London is just 60 minutes away by train.
This new year-round offering is available from February 2024 and means Lewis now offer a choice of accommodation for both summer and year-round junior programmes, with homestay in Southampton and residential accommodation in Winchester.
Programme options include:
• Cultural Week
• English for the Workplace (Business)
• Storytelling & Theatre
• Your Own Programme (bespoke requests)
