Short, 1 term preparation course at Taunton School

For many students around the world, their education has been significantly impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic. Lots of schools have had to close, lessons have moved online and consequently, many students have not received the necessary preparation they need for the new academic year.

Taunton School International recognises that some students will now, more than ever, need a boost
before they join a British boarding school in September ’21 or perhaps they simply want to get away
from their screens and enjoy a term of face-to-face teaching, mixed with a whole host of sports, clubs
and activities in the beautiful Somerset town of Taunton.

If you are between 14 – 16 years old and have an English level of B1 or higher, then Taunton School can
offer you a wonderful nine-week experience, studying and living on their fantastic 56-acre campus, with outstanding facilities, plenty of open space and the real opportunity to get yourself fully prepared for the next step of your academic journey.

The school's September Preparation Course includes:
• 25 hours tuition/week
• 7.5 – 10 hours prep/week
• a project-based curriculum focusing on developing subject-specific language
• 10 hours English/week
• 5 hours Humanities/week
• 5 hours Science/week
• 3 hours Maths/week
• 1 hour PSHE/week
• 1 hour Study Skills/week
• sports/games on Tuesday & Thursday afternoons
• weekly clubs & activities
• boarding in single, twin or triple room
• 3 meals/day in our stunning new £4M dining hall
• laundry 3 times/week
• weekend trips (where Covid protocols allow)
