A decade ago, the Lewis School of English in Southampton, UK, made its very first Happy New Year video, and it’s a tradition that has continued to this day.
Every year, students and staff work together to create a fun and festive creation to share online, and there have been many different themes. One year, the Grinch came to the school and stole all the letters spelling ‘Happy New Year’; another year there was a ‘mannequin challenge’ (that’s when everyone has to stay still during an action shot, while the camera moves around); and in their most popular video, a magic box arrives with Happy New Year greetings from around the world.
The Lewis School has compiled some of its highlights in its video ’10 Happy New Years’. Enjoy the fun and see how many different languages you can spot! Watch the video here.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from all the staff and students at Lewis School!
