Off campus job hiring fair at VanWest College a full success

Every year, VanWest College co-op department members organize two off campus job hiring fairs to connect Vanwest College students with Canadian employers and organizations. During these hiring fairs, students have the opportunity to interact one-on-one with employers of interest, gain awareness of organizations and positions they are hiring for and establish professional relationships.

First of these hiring fairs this year was held in person at Downtown Pinnaccle Harbour Front Hotel on 28 of March. 23 recruiters from different companies were present at the fair to have interviews with co-op diploma program students.

   

Vanwest College Hiring Fairs provide co-op diploma program students with the following opportunities:

  • Explore career options in their field and job opportunities in local market.
  • Opportunity to get job offers on spot.
  • Interact with industry professionals and learn about companies.
  • Practice work search and interview skills
  • Make connections and build networks

Beside off campus job hiring fair, Vanwest College co-op department organizes many on campus activities such as workshops, visa information sessions and employer information sessions.

VanWest co-op department has a strong system in place and a solid foundation of host company partnerships across various industries. A system that equips students with the adequate knowledge and skills to help them succeed in getting work placement in English working environment.
